Today, the world changed. Today, we are no longer leading up to change – we must now do the work to deliver the change we want for our world.
It was amazing to be part of a very animated, large and lively crowd – probably not quite like what it was in DC however. Well, it was animated except for the homeless man who slept through it all, right in front of us. He did wake up at one point to ask what time it was. I’m sure there was something more clever I could have replied with than ‘8:11’.
I don’t agree with the boo-ing that Rick Warren got by our San Francisco crowd, his presence there is symbolic of many things. Not the least of which is a new approach to finding common ground to work from, instead of focusing on the differences to work against.
After we watched Bush board his helicopter and waved good bye to him, our crew parted ways to complete our days.
I am proud of the America that we became today. And I am very proud to have been a part of it.
