The official Day 3 of Burning Man for us started with an early wake-up to take part in the 4th Annual Black Rock City 5K run. Chris kicked butt and completed his first ever organized run!
As I’m still struggling with being a morning person (particularly with running), I opted instead to do a photo bike of the open playa art while Chris ran..
After Chris’ victory run, we climbed to the top of The Man for an epic view of Black Rock City.
In the afternoon, we took upon an invitation from K-Svert (an on playa radio station) to do an on-air interview about our life on the road. (Funny story – we know these guys via a mutual friend – Kev & Ang who run the NuRVers.com website – Tom of K-Svert came to our trailer the other day ‘Help! Our mixers have gone down!’. We of course offered him some cranberry juice – when what he needed was to get a message out to incoming campmates to bring parts to fix their mixing board).
The rest of our day was spent enjoying a rare day on the playa for us – awesome weather, awesome friends and no events to host!
Today we host our big event – the Technomadic Lifestyle Workshop (where we answer question about making this mobile lifestyle work), followed by a Nomadic Happy Hour. On tap to join us on the panel we have Sam & Tracy of ZenNomads, Brian of BikeandBoots.com and Jay & Ayo of OurTakeOnFreedom.

Congrats Chris! I ran the Black Rock City 5k last year, and I can tell you that they only get easier from here on out. Most races at least have water stations! 🙂

I think some of the runners were offered beers as they went… *grin*
