Friday was another awesome day of our Camp Nomadia community coming together. Having a camp with a central hang out area, creates an environment where people can connect and feel they have some place to come home to. Burning Man is full of exciting, awesome and overwhelming things to see, do and experience. And sometimes, just staying close to home with your people is exactly what you need.
Especially when there seems to be no shortage of community booze!
Our youngest nomad – 6 month old Cole – seems to be adapting well to the playa, and has been a hit at Camp Nomadia. We’ve also decided what Christine & Drew no longer qualify as AlmostFearless – there is nothing ‘almost’ about tent camping at Burning Man with an infant.
Just before sunset, a group of us joined a photo walk hosted by the amazing HDR photographer, Trey Ratcliff (who is also one cool all around dude) .. here are some of the shots I grabbed..
When we returned to camp – we were delighted to find the awesome folks from Matador Travel hosting a tamale and margarita party in the community structure! Things were hopping for a couple more hours.
An awesome day of community and connections, indeed.
