We’ve been receiving a lot of ‘Hate’ lately. It’s just too much.
For everyone who has ever hated on our gs and ms, or Chris’ hat, or the angle of our lampshade, or other grammer, or the volume of our audio, or the misspellings, or the oh gasp.. she talks more than him.. or the the ‘you’re not worthy’ comments.. or the ‘ you’ve got a premium membership service.. you are shady’ comments… or ‘you’re not presenting my state fully’.. or.. whatever your complaint is with us…
You win. Good bye. For now.
Maybe we’ll back. Maybe we won’t.
But we’ve grown tired of sharing peeks of our personal lives with the public just be met with occasional thanks (while seeing other bloggers met with an outpouring of support), but a lot of criticism and ‘corrections’.
We need time for ourselves. As individuals. As a couple.

Morning Update:
I’m leaving the above intact and unedited. While it was influenced by too much wine last night, the end effects stand true this morning. And it’s raw, and authentic.
We need to take a break and re-focus on ourselves.
We know there are way more of you who love and appreciate us than criticize. And we know that it is our own internal happiness & balance that does not allow us to see that as clearly right now. Yes, ‘haters are going to hate’ – but right now, we just don’t have the strength to keep a smile on our faces.
We appreciate your understanding in that. Thank you for having traveled along thus far. I do suspect we’ll be back in some form.

11/5 @ 6pm : Holy Guacamole… we are completely humbled by the comments, emails and reach outs this post has generated. We never expected it, and didn’t post to solicit accolades. But do know we are reading each and every one of them, and you are melting our hearts. We are taking some time to take care of ourselves. And we really appreciate your support in that (not that we need anyone’s approval).
Yes, we do delete & ban the negativity, and hardly ever respond to it. That’s why you don’t see it. It comes in from so many directions.. and to get to that delete button, we have already read the comment. On good days, it passes right by. But it does add up over time.
PS. We are continuing to post mobile internet news and assist our members over at RVMobileInternet.Com. Our premium membership group, Mobile Internet Aficionados, remains unchanged and we are actively assisting our members there.
RVMobileInternet will be our only non-personal focus for the time being while we are on social media hiatus. We have stepped back from all other obligations so that we can take care of ourselves.

Hi Cherie and Chris – I’m glad you rethought your decision to stop blogging. I, too, work in a field where I deal with a lot of negative internet people, and know what it’s like when wine makes me more, um, authentic. 🙂 My partner and I are bugging out in April with our small dog to car trip around the US for spring and summer, then come back and get the motor home in the fall to head south for winter. Your site has been incredibly helpful to us! Much love!

Is there a way to have your viewers and followers subscribe to your website in order to view your posts? This would ensure your posts are only seen by those who appreciate them and you would have the opportunity to ‘unsubscribe’ anyone you wish. I would hate to lose you guys due to a few ignorant people.
Cherie Ve Ard says
That would be a lot of overhead to implement, and would make it much more difficult to gain visibility to new subscribers (people like to see public content before signing up). Definitely not the direction we want to go 🙂

I might as well post this here as I have been wanting to give you guys a big shout out and am now one of your fans. The following is written more ‘about’ you guys and what you have done for me then ‘to’ you guys. It is meant as a tribute to you so you can see that despite the bad parts of running a blog there is vastly much more good out of it. You two are an inspiration on several levels. Probably more than any one person could know.
I knew Chris in a much previous chapter of my life and just prior to his “full time” transition. I was well entrenched in an Air Force career and moving 100 miles an hour fueled by stress and 30 something “know-it-all” arrogance. We flew paramotors together in Sacramento with a mutual friend (and my best bud) Greg Petersen. When my Air Force career came to an abrupt end due to a medical condition that didn’t allow me to fly their jets anymore, in chronic pain, and closely followed by the bad news that our friend Greg was diagnosed with cancer, it was a start to a spiral that led to a lot of changes in my life.
When I first learned of Chris’s life choice to live full time in a tiny T@B trailer I thought he was crazy, crazy, crazy! I was sure he would be back to “normal” when he “figured” it all out. Meanwhile my “normal” started crumbling around me…….stress was through the roof and I was in pain due to my medical condition. I moved home to Oregon after I was medically retired and was divorced within a year and a half. My life in California and my acquaintance with Chris became a faint memory. The final straw was the passing of our friend Greg who’s final message to me was “live each day”. I was then determined to put my life on a track that would lead to an abundance of choices that allowed me to L.E.D. (live each day).
After a failed post divorce relationship I finally found and married a woman that had her own business but had the wander lust like me. Within 5 years of our relationship we found a way to actually escape the “normal” and embrace the “weird”. Re-enter Chris (and Cherie)………lol.
I started my “road” research and up popped Chris and Cherie’s blog! I read every page that night with excitement and was charged that Chris had actually found a new “normal”…….and was Thriving!!! He even met a great partner that shared (and embraced) Chris’s “normal”. My wife and I decided to close up her business and register for on line school. We start classes in the first part of January 2016. Last month I came home with a 37 foot RV while out on a test drive and my wife about crapped a cat when she saw it. She didn’t think I was seriously considering buying it but she did like it. I mulled it around for a couple of weeks but the thought of owning it kept tugging at my soul. My wife is funny about money not like my realistic and piratical approach of “spend it if you got it”. No, her’s is “save for a rainy day and emergency’s” (that never happen). Also it is good if she has some set aside for a Zombie apocalypses and in case Trump gets elected. Anyhooooooo…….I had to slip this thing by her with it being a good idea. How to do it. Well since all her ideas are good I had to make this her idea………riiiiiiight.
So let me lay this out for you. My financially neurotic wife just closed her cash cow business and enrolled in college with a teenage daughter still at home and will be attending college herself in the Fall of 2016. Her financially dumb ass husband wants to buy a motor home and hit the road……..and MY plan is to make the motor home and hitting the road HER idea. Now fueled by the reality of what Chris and Cherie had accomplished along with my own wish to L.E.D. I put my plan into action. It was a multi leveled plan….
I made sure I mentioned the RV a few times a week along with a “wouldn’t it be fun IF” statements as I would casually spin my lap top around with Technomadi pictures and stories pulled up. Then I would just let the idea soak for a bit. Knowing her lust to wander I waited. Nothing at first but eventually she would ask, “Can you just park and RV anywhere?” or “How much is insurance?”. I would answer her questions as they popped up. When her questions started to change to things like “could we visit your kids with THE (not just any) RV?” and “a trip to the coast in the RV would be fun.”……wait, what?!?!, that was a statement and NOT a question! I knew it was time to put phase 2 into action.
I went back down to the dealer (who just happens to be a friend of mine and I do work for from time to time) and just hung out for a couple of hours. He gave me the keys to the RV and I went through the systems making sure they all worked. I came up with a short list of fixes for them and a wink and a nod but no promise to buy. THEN I went home. My wife asked me where I had been and I told her “down at the dealership”. “Whats going on down there?” she asked. “Wellllllllllll……I think I accidentally bought that RV.” I said with a winced up face. “How do you accidentally buy 20, thousand dollar motor home?!?!” “35” I quickly corrected her without thinking (idiot me). After several statements of disbelief and staring at my poker face she wasn’t sure if I had or hadn’t actually bought it……..or not.
After a couple of days of her head soaking on that idea and sure enough she started making plans of places she wanted to see and actually telling me where she wanted to go and see. She even started mentioning it to friends that she was getting or might get an RV. The hook was set!! I secured the financing and came up with the deposit…….I couldn’t fully pull the trigger without my wife fully on board though. I had to make sure that this wasn’t going to cost me another divorce after all. With all the financing in place and nothing but a signature required I came at her head on. “Honey” I said……”We are standing at the beginning of a new chapter in our life……….Honestly who the Hell cares what or how I said it……the RV was now her idea after all!!
Short story long……My wife and I bought an RV and are deciding to hit the road “part time” at the very least and it is because of the reality I realized through Techmomadia’s adventures and my acquaintance with Chris early on and seeing his success now. I owe you guys a bottle of wine but I want to deliver it myself and hand it to you personally. Thank you guys! Keep it up!

If you had zero personality and presented everything like newscasters deadpan, then no one could poke fun at you. You are real people, and it’s fun to listen to your explanations and experiences. Anyone who has ever posted anything knows how you feel. You have my support, and we hope to meet you on the road some day. Keep having a life, and a personality.

Very sad to hear you have been having to deal with internet trolls. They have no real lives so all they know how to do is try to tear down others. They claim it’s their right to free speech, but free speech ends where insult or injury begins in my opinion. Please do come back and keep us in the loop. Despite the idiots of the social media world doing their best to mess with everyone they can, just know you both are loved by many of us who actually have lives and know what it means to be civil and caring. Rest, rejuvenate, and above all have lots of fun, okay? We’ll be here waiting to hear from you two when you get back! 🙂

I appreciate the info the two of you provide. I’ve noticed in life that some folks tear down other folks to build themselves up, but I suppose you know that. Thanks, Fred

Criticizing has become a national pastime. When we were first considering full-timing your videos and blogs help assuage my wife concerns. We choose Millenicom as our internet provider after reading your reviews. We have been on the road for almost two years and I just wanted to say thanks. My wife didn’t understand the technology, but she did understand the peeks of your personal lives. Thanks, Steven King

Dang guys… So sorry you’re experiencing this. If there’s any one RV resource we’ve leaned heavily on it’s been you guys. The internet feels like a lonelier place after reading this. By all means, take your time. We’ll be thinking of you and rolling on because of you.

I just came from your brilliant solar power article to this sad development. Clearly you two are generous with your valuable time and experience and have developed a huge following. Sad that the trolls target people like you. But whether or not you publish anything again, know there are tens of thousands of people who deeply appreciate what you have contributed and are grateful that you shared with us.

My husband and I wondered why the YouTube hasn’t been updated. 🙁 I’m so sorry that you have had to deal with negativity. I can understand how out can affect your spirit. I know for me I would have a hard time putting myself out there as you have done I think it was very brave of you. I also know that if I had I probably would disable the comments. I know there are good people out there but unfortunately evil is still out there as well. It’s sad to see people affected by the negative. I wish you all well in your travels. May you be blessed.
patricewilde says
Why not keep all the negative comments and let your admirers take care of responding to them? Seems like you have a lot of great support.
Cherie Ve Ard says
That’s exactly the kind of attention a troll is seeking, and we choose not to indulge them.

So enjoy your blogs on your travels. Keep up the good work and keep posting when you have time

My husband and I live in CT and will be making the move to being full time RV’ers in the next 18-24 months. We have just started doing our research on YouTube and Google. Today we came across one of your YouTube videos on the different memberships. We absolutely loved it and I have signed up to receive future blogs and I have subscribed to your YouTube channel. The information you presented was FANTASTIC!! And the information about Florida Domicile was extremely helpful. It is sad when negativity comes into our lives and I understand your need to take a break, but I am hopeful and will pray that you will come back. In the mean time, we are going to check out your older blogs and videos. You guys do a fantastic job. Thank you so much. This is so great that you spend time sharing your experiences in order to help others. This is so giving of you both. PEACE ✌ï¸

Hello from the UK!
I found your site for the first time having linked through from one of your YouTube videos and I was blown away that you guys have clearly put so much of your time and effort into producing guidance for the benefit of others.
We are looking to move out to the US (starting in Florida due to family connections) in 2017 and our plan is to full time RV, maybe for good and maybe till we find somewhere we cannot bear to move away from……time will tell on that front I guess!!
I am so very grateful for your videos, your site, so many links, advice etc etc…I am a bit of a Spreadsheet Geek and I like to forecast things like income and expenditure to reassure myself that I am in control of such things, so your Cash Flow is particularly helpful for me.
Also, you are highlighting potential issues that we can now consider and research in plenty of time, such as Data Plans, Mobile Internet, Entertainment, Insurances etc to (hopefully!!) ensure that these do not trip us up when we arrive…….without you guys we would be certain to overlook something and I can bet that “something” could go on to cause a major headache (or two!!!)
In life it seems that people are all to quick to criticize! (especially those who are essentially faceless and non-accountable whilst hiding behind a computer screen and usually a wildly imaginative avatar, which is just like them in real life honest!!). Why people cannot just realise and understand that it is OK for people to have different opinions, but that is not an excuse to slam somebody into the ground (proverbially speaking of course!!) is beyond me!!
Myself, I used to work in a Call Centre for a well-known TV provider and very nearly lost my job when answering a complaint from a (crazy?!?) lady complaining that a particular show always offended her and was in poor taste. Apparently pointing out that if she ALWAYS watched it she would most likely ALWAYS be offended and maybe the best course of action could be to CHANGE THE FLIPPING CHANNEL was against company protocol – oops!, my bad!! lol…..my point being that it takes all types of people to make the world go round and sadly, some of those are ignorant and some of them are not afraid to voice their opinions, no matter how mis-informed or downright stupid that opinion may seem.
Anyway, I digress! the point of my comment was to say a MASSIVE thank you to you both for all of your hard work and also to offer some respect for your efforts.
Maybe we will meet on our travels one day…..put the world to rights and all that! lol
All the Best
Selena
