First of all, a big huge thanks for the outpouring of support from my last post on the Pandemic Blues. It was so heartwarming to hear from so many who were feeling similar things.
I’m doing mostly better, most days.
And it’s really hard to complain – despite running the AC here in Florida already. Which is crazy, when so many this past week have been without power & water in super freezing arctic temperatures.
I so wish we could share the warmth.
We have a whole bunch of content bundled up in our noggins that we want to create here continuing to share about our new van, little side trips we’ve been taking and our upcoming 4-year anniversary of boat ownership.
But quite honestly, every time we try to put attention to filming or writing anything of substance – exhaustion sets in.
We’re just creating so much content over at the Mobile Internet Resource Center (our ‘day job’), that spending more time in front of the camera or screen just doesn’t feel like fun.
And this is supposed to be fun.
So until the open time & energy allows it, we continue to share the daily little updates over on Instagram and Facebook if you care to follow along with van pictures, cats, happy hours, Sanford exploring and hot tubs.
And maybe we’ll pop in on a YouTube Live some day again.
Podcasts & Conferences
Speaking of content, we’ve been part of a good number of podcasts and online conferences in recent months – pretty much all work topic related stuff. And we have a biggie coming up soon that you might want to join in for.
Rethinking Remote Work Conference
First up is an huge online conference put on by the Escapees RV Club from March 4-8 on ‘Rethinking Remote Work’. There will be dozens of video sessions on topics like taxes, business formation, healthcare, marketing and transitioning to remote work.
We’ll of course be there presenting on… you guessed it… mobile internet.
The conference is completely free to attend on the day of the broadcasts. And a VIP pass is available for purchase to watch the sessions whenever you like and get bonus content.
(affiliate link if you happen to purchase a pass)
And if you sign up for attending our session at 4:30pm E on March 4 – you’ll even be entered to win a free premium membership with our video course to the Mobile Internet Resource Center (a $209 value).
Recent Podcast & Summit Appearances
We’ve also been a part of a lot of recent stuff that you might find interesting.
These are audio podcast recordings:
- The RV Entrepreneur Podcast w/ Heath Padgett – RVE 213: How to Get Internet for RVers (2021 Guide)
- Great Loop Radio Podcast w/ Kim Russo – Great Loop Radio: Internet Connectivity for Working While Looping
- The RV Podcast w/ Mike Wendlend – Episode 313: The Best Internet for RV Nomads
- RV Small Talk Podcast – Internet for RV’ers DEEP DIVE
And these are video event archives:
- The Virtual Campfire Live Presentation – Internet Connectivity with MobileInternetInfo
- Home on Wheels Alliance Virtual RTR / CheapRV Living – HOWA – Mobile Internet Options
- RVing in New England Live Presentation – Episode 86 – Chris & Cherie of Mobile Internet Resource Center
Whew, putting those all together in a list makes me realize we’ve been doing a LOT. Maybe that’s part of why we’re so exhausted?
And that’s not the end, we already have other podcasts and events starting to line up for spring time.
Seems mobile internet is a hot topic – and no doubt, we’ve carved out a niche on it. But it would be kinda nice to talk about something else sometime.
Upcoming Plans
Well, I guess that should really be upcoming lack of plans?
Next month will mark 1 year since we arrived to Sanford and have been homebased here aboard the boat. Crazy to think about. We are itching for some longer trips than we’ve been taking, which has us scheming possible upcoming adventures.
Those might include some extended river cruising up to Jacksonville (and gasp, maybe letting Y-Not taste salt water again?).
Maybe an extended van trip?
Or maybe even getting out as far as Arizona to visit Zephyr and maybe taking her for some summer adventures in cooler temps?
At this point, everything is in fantasyland planning. There’s still too many unknowns, particularly around our own eligibility for vaccination.
But it is nice to start thinking about possible travels beyond our little 2 hour perimeter we’ve artificially constrained ourselves to.

GREAT POST!
THANK YOU FOR SHARING….

Happy to hear from you. Glad you are feeling better. After a year of Covid – home based, I too, started to feel a little blue. I also wonder when I will be able to travel again. Most days I try to remind myself to “be happy”. Sometimes it works – sometimes it doesn’t but on the whole, I can’t complain.
I hope you will be able to do some fun cruising or travel in the new van. How is Kiki doing?
I can appreciate your exhaustion.
Be well, take care and I looking forward to hearing from you again when time and energy permits.

Hi Chris & Cherie, (I love the picture at the top of this post, you guys are looking good and fairly relaxed. I, too, feel tired a lot, I
think it’s constant low-level Covid stress. I think I’m handling everything Ok, but the stress buzz is always there. This is where I
pull deep from my community of friends who help me keep my perspective.
You guys are a bright spot in my mail box, every post is a peek at somewhere-other-than-here. Not complaining, but We’re sure
looking forward to getting out and going places.
Be safe, hang in there, this won’t last forever.

Glad you are both good and safe. The future is starting to look brighter (except for variants). We are both fully vaccinated (young 70’s and glad to be part of the solution) but also itching for some travel and adventure further than our backyard. Exploring Lake Chapala area of Mexico is on our bucket list for 2022 if all goes well. 2nd best climate in the world, low cost of living etc. Hopefully your fantasyland planning will come to fruition sooner rather than later. Stay safe, positive possibility thinking lowers stress levels! Virtual Hugs from SOFL! Ron

I hear you on all of those points. We settled down in a house in WA and just after I got sick with thinking we would never get on the road again… I already have some plans made for this summer in the rig, and relish the good ole days where you did great travelogue posts with information on where you were camping in Zephyr. Remember those days? And, if you ever do get on the road again, Zephyr will fit in our driveway with a 50 amp hookup with sewer on Logan Creek with a private little yard. You can come here anytime! Mount Vernon, WA is the location. Miss the good ole days but so glad the MIAs and MIRC are your focus and you have been super successful. Transition is normal, I guess. So many of our standard initial bloggers have also moved on to new things or different venues so I guess all of this is really normal…

Hitch itch is real. I don’t know about you, but I am anxious to get rid of my COVID-15.

Keep safe. I hope you will be able to access a vaccination soon. Not traveling—have not seen my beloved class C for 11 months and ten days. ITCHY FEET!
